Steve Ryan comes to work every day to make the needs of his clients, their families, and business commitments a priority.

Steve acts as his clients’ advocate, attending to every detail to creatively combine Northwestern Mutual’s unique, world-class product line to produce solutions for clients to help them reach their goals and objectives.

Serving the people of Grand Island and rural Nebraska as a part of the company that his father and great-great grandfather held policies with over 100 years ago fuels Steve’s passion to impact people with an entrepreneurial approach holistic financial planning.

 

Steve Ryan's Background and Education:

Steve attended Kearney State College (now University of Nebraska at Kearney) and earned his commission as a second lieutenant in the Nebraska Army National Guard. He served for six years as a mortar platoon leader and Company Executive Officer before resigning his commission in 1986. Over the course of thirty-three years at Northwestern Mutual, Steve has attained three certifications through the American College and is working on his fourth. He is a Managing Director and works to build his family business in partnership with his son, Vince. With all the challenges of being a business owner and in developing new talent, Steve strives to continue to grow and improve.

In his spare time, Steve enjoys playing golf, archery, and hunting on the Platte River with friends. He and his wife, Kim, who also has a role in the Ryan business, have been married 35 years and have three grown children and four wonderful grandchildren who all live in Grand Island. One of the highlights of the year for Steve is attending the Barrett Jackson car auction in Scottsdale, AZ.
